Beloved animal advocate and actress Betty White sadly passed away on the last day of 2021, just weeks before her 100th birthday. Fans have come up with a unique way to honor her - Pick a local organization that helps animals and donate $5 in Betty White's name on her 100th birthday, January 17th.
Join us during the #BettyWhiteChallenge by donating at least $5 to Meals On Wheels NEO’s Wheels for Wags program in her name now through January 17.
When volunteers noticed that many seniors were feeding pets from their own meals, we knew we had to do something. Through Wheels for Wags, Meals On Wheels provides free pet food for all clients who have animals.
That way, seniors don’t need to worry about how to obtain or afford food for a pet that may be their only companion.
For decades, Betty White championed for the wellbeing of animals large and small. Now, you can be a part of the movement and honor her legacy by helping animals and their senior owners right here at home.
